SOLD Naked Raku Vessel

Forged in fire.
This vessel is wheel thrown, bisque fired, masked with tape resist,dipped in a thick sacrificial slip. Immediately placed in a Raku kiln and fired to 750 degrees. The pot is removed from the kiln and placed in a paper lined tin which bursts into flames. A lid is firmly placed on the tin trapping the smoke which infused the cracks, resist and I slipped areas created the black colouring. The pots is quenched in water causing the slip to fall off exposing the beautiful crackled surface.
